Samsung has already killed-off the J-series of Galaxy smartphones and with good reasons. Phones launched in this series are greatly underpowered in terms of their value-for-money proposition.
Having owned a Samsung Galaxy J7 (2015 variant), I can say the only selling points of the device versus any ones in the budget category are that it possessed a Super AMOLED display and Samsung’s brand name. Take those two away and you’re left with an underwhelming device in the presence of aggressive mid-tier and budget OEMs like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Huawei.
Fortunately, Samsung went back to scratch and launched a new series of smartphones in place of the J-series — the Galaxy ‘M’ series and refreshed the Galaxy ‘A’ series with new offerings.
I now own the Samsung Galaxy A70 (2019) and it is one of the best mid-range Samsung phones I bought.
Checking out these new series of Samsung phones is a must for those wanting decent features for a least costlier price tag.
